Another great read, thanks Jen! This topic is absolutely relatable to how I think most of us feel but aren't able to share or just like you said don't have anyone to share it with.

It's healthy to talk about it to complain and get it out and of course I'm here to listen! We can share our complaints. I think dweling on anything to long is when it gets unhealthy. And btw who the heck can afford those rates??? 6k-10k per month!!!Yikes, what are these people doing for work/money? 🤔

I was rooting for you to complain, Jen!

A writer I know is an ombudsman, which basically means her day job is listening to complaints, so she wrote a blog called the Complaint Department, which is a hoot. And then she wrote a fabulous book that I wish someone had given to me when I was 15, callled "I Wanted Fries With That," all about how we (read:mostly women) need to learn to complain more, and complain effectively.

Very excited for the first meeting of Gripers Unite.

Acting 101! You already write a lot and acting is such a great way for emotions and feelings to flow through you and get processed! It can be so healing!

Also I know I’m not technically your friend, but I’m here for you for any and all complaints! When you want to, or need to, I’m here, so let them out, girl!

I also feel like, if they’re not too intimate, and you’re up for it, you could totally do some complaining using your blog. I agree that sometimes when people complain to me or tell me their feelings it helps me feel less alone (as you expressed about your one friend at lunch).

Sending you love & healing! You’re def not alone!

(And you so beautifully and eloquently expressed where the complaints live and have lived in your body! Jen, you have a way with words. Xo! & thank you for sharing your love & your heart.)

Appreciate this endlessly, Abi! I'm leaning toward the acting class too!

Yay!! I mean, I’m an actor and sometimes I don’t love acting CLASS, haha! Mostly I really prefer to just actually perform, sing (even if at karaoke), be on stage, or use my voice on my podcasts… you know? So if the acting class isn’t IT, there are obv other ways you can heal/vent/process that you can experiment with!

Listener friend here and yes, that's spot on, who do we unload on? It's hard for us to share what's weighing us when we're always assumed the listener. Thanks for this! I'm not alone!
