Biossance or La Roche Posay - recommended by my derm. My routine is super simple. In the morning: Gentle face wash (currently use La Roche Posay), Vit C serum (just finished Naturium), Elta MD tinted moisturizer with SPF, in the evening: gentle face wash, hyaluronic acid serum (just finished cera ve), retinol serum (from my derm), night time moisturizer (la Roche Posay double repair moisturizer) π
There was a TikTok I found last summer and havenβt seen the creator since but she was talking about the bare minimum for healthy skin at every age, and being so overwhelmed with what I should be doing for my skin it really helped me pare things down to a routine Iβll actually do.
For us 30 somethings: in the morning wash/cleanse your face (I do a double pass with micellar water as is quicker than a full face wash.) then a vitamin C serum (sephoras clean beauty vit C & E serum is a longtime favorite of mine), then moisturizer. I LOVE First Aid Beautyβs ultra hydration moisturizer. I swear itβs solved most of my skin issues in less than a month. Iβve used it for years. And then spf always!!
Evening routine: wash/cleanse and use an exfoliator 2/3x a week then moisturizer again.
Iβm very much a do it all at once girl. I do as much in the shower as I can so I know Iβll actually do it!!
Thatβs the one! Just reordered it actually as Iβm running low π
And I do not have the bandwidth for a 37 step routine. I tried skin cycling and layering and all that and it lasted maybe a month. This I actually do! I have a retinol that Iβll remember to use maybe once a week but I keep it out as I know Iβm βsupposed β to use one
I agree with the comments about seeing a dermatologist for guidance, using retinol, and the brand The Ordinary. There is also truth behind the standard advice to drink water, wash your face before going to bed, keep face moisturized, wear sunscreen, etc. (I do all of these things. Repeat.) It's worth doing research on K beauty and Korean brands; I'm slowly transitioning to a lot of them based on what I learn.
100% swear by ROC, which has one of the highest retinol percentages in over-the-counter eye cream, while also being drugstore prices. I use the ROC Deep Wrinkle Night Cream at night and Retinol Correxion Filler in the morning, both of them around my eyes only. My dermatologist said that ROC is the brand she recommends. You can get it at CVS or any drugstore. Also, The Ordinary Peeling Solution for exfoliation 1x a week. It is super strong but will make your skin glow. And it is super cheap.
I saw a serious change when I talked to a dermatologist and got a prescription strength retinol. It's a wonder product if your skin jives with it. Helps with fine lines and wrinkles while helping increase collagen production. If you have the resources, get a dermatologist and talked to them. They can give recommendations based on your skin that fit into a routine that's doable. Curology is a good over-the-counter option start since you talk to a dermatologist to figure which regiment works for you.
And then this is kinda related but I love their mascara it's my fave and I also love their tinted moisterizer. I use it everyday. I love the slight coverage and of course sun protection. Nothing they have feels thick it's all great. (you would think they're paying me but they're not haha I just really love their stuff and always come back to it)
So their stuff is all natural which has been great esp since my first preg. My skin got very sensitive and dry. Bc has always had my back. I love the lotus balm you can use it as a very hydrating night cream as well as helps you take off your makeup for travel so I love that. Also like the counter match set. The serum and eye cream in that set I use day and night every day. The cleanser with that set is really nice. I also really like the counter start coco cleanser and moisterizer. They work great and I am happy with the price point.
I'm a big fan of Cocokind -- https://www.cocokind.com/

I love to hear this because I don't see myself going from NOTHING to 37 products and a 10 step routine. Is this the Vit C serum? https://www.sephora.com/product/vitamin-c-e-super-glow-serum-P506578?country_switch=us&lang=en&skuId=2495646&om_mmc=ppc-GG_17791296883___2495646__9004347_c&country_switch=us&lang=en&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA75itBhA6EiwAkho9e7loEOLnRtQeqy1xyTUrLTvxlyu6uuvuEfR25Z1TqHs608D0X_FZRBoCR9UQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Thank you! I have never used retinol but have friends who swear by it too!
